New Kitchen

At last Wilbarston village hall has a smart, modern kitchen to be proud of! After 12 months of fundraising, planning and organising, contractors have just added the finishing touches to our new kitchen. The kitchen space has been completely electrically rewired and re-plumbed; the flooring has been replaced and additional new lockable storage units and worktops fitted throughout. The new equipment fitted includes: new sinks and taps; a larder fridge and electric oven (kindly donated by Howdens Kitchens of Kettering facilitated by Tommy Kelly!). There is also new plinth heater to keep the kitchen cosy for users; a brand new 6 burner gas cooker with high capacity extractor unit, and a wall mounted boiler to provide a constant supply of hot water for tea and coffee. We have also replaced all of the crockery, kitchen utensils, pots etc. As well as renovating the kitchen, the committee also took the opportunity to replace the adjacent bar work top and fit new storage shelving beneath.

The management committee would like to thank everybody who helped with organising and fundraising and our contractors, A Class Kitchens of Bedford for completing the project on time.
