Wilbarston Village Hall

Wilbarston Village Hall occupies a stunning location, with beautiful views over the Welland Valley. It is surrounded by open green spaces and has a well equipped children’s play area adjacent to the building. There is a large car park with plenty of off-road parking along Carlton Road at the front of the hall.

The building is fully modernised and suitable for a variety of functions. Currently, regular users operate clubs for indoor bowls, badminton, dance, Tau Chi,and art classes, also a youth brass band.

Keys to the hall are provided via a key safe located near the front door. Your access code will be supplied prior to the booked time.

THE MAIN HALL

  Main Hall Set up for a Wedding 

The main hall measures some 16 metres x 10 metres with a seating capacity of 140 and 230 standing. The hall has a stage measuring 9 metres x 3metres. It is equipped with a PA and lighting system, Wi-Fi, Projector and screen. There is an extensive stock of portable tables and chairs. Access is possible from the main hall to the outside green space via two sets of doors.



THE KITCHEN






The kitchen has been recently refurbished (2020). It has a large gas cooker, smaller electric cooker, fridge, microwave, water boiler, crockery and utensils. It has a large hatch which allows serving food and drinks to the adjacent main hall very convenient. It also has direct access through to the lounge. Lockable cupboards are available for regular users.

THE LOUNGE


The lounge is fully modernised. There are four large tables, several low `coffee tables` and soft seated chairs. The lounge measures some 9 metres x 5 metres and is ideal for displays, catering buffets and teas etc.  The lounge has a separate bar which can be used in conjunction with the main bar.

Access and use of the kitchen can be arranged at an extra cost. The bar is also available by prior arrangement and extra cost. The lounge can seat a maximum of 40 people.


THE BAR 


We operate a well-stocked bar with trained bar staff. We can offer you a wide range of bottled beers, lagers, wines, spirits etc.

Our Bar manager is happy to discuss your requirements in advance of your event and will make every effort to meet your needs – subject to availability.


THE CHANGING ROOMS.

We have changing room facilities for home and away teams, each equipped with toilets and showers. The changing rooms each have their own access at the far end of the hall complex and give easy access to the green spaces beyond the hall.


OUTSIDE GREEN SPACE

The open green space immediately adjacent is accessible from the hall and has floodlighting. It may be used for outside activities in conjunction with hall hire – subject to discussion and the agreement of the management committee.  


HIRE CHARGES

We have a number of ‘packages’ available to hirers to suit most occasions. Our booking secretary and management team are flexible and will endeavour to accommodate special requests wherever possible.


GOLD PACKAGE: This package is ideal for weddings and other large celebrations where advanced preparation is required. In this package we offer you:

Duration of hire: The hall is hired to you exclusively for a two-day period from 12 noon to 12 noon 48 hours later. The duration of hire includes setting
up and clearing away after the event.

Available Space: You have use of the main Hall, bar and lounge.  You also have use of the open green space immediately adjacent to the hall.

Cost of Hire:  The charge for our all-inclusive Gold package is £500.

Additional hours beyond those stipulated in the package will  be £15 per hour

A non-refundable deposit of £150 is payable at the time of booking. The booking dates will not be reserved until this deposit is received.

A refundable damage/condition deposit of £75 will be required when paying the balance of the hire charge and this will be returned after verification of the hall’s condition following the event. The balance of the hire charge payable six weeks before the event date.

Non-payment of the balance by the due date may result in the hiring being cancelled.


SILVER PACKAGE:  This package is ideal for smaller events such as parties and other celebrations requiring less preparation and clearing away.

Duration of hire: The hall is hired to you exclusively for a twenty-four hour period from 12 noon to 12 noon the following day. The duration of hire includes
setting up and clearing away after the event.

Available Space: You have use of the Main Hall, Bar and Lounge.  You also have use of the open green space immediately adjacent to the hall.

Cost of hire: The charge for the all-inclusive Silver package is £250.

Additional hours beyond those stipulated in the package will be £15 per hour.

A non-refundable deposit of £100 is payable at the time of booking. The booking dates will not be reserved until this deposit is received.

A refundable damage/condition deposit of £75 will be required when paying the balance of the hire charge and this will be returned
after verification of the hall’s condition following the event.

OCCASIONAL MAIN HALL HIRE:  Ideal for conferences, meetings, children’s parties etc.

Duration of Hire: Subject to hall availability, and charged by the hour.

Available Space: This includes full use of the main hall and kitchen only.

Cost of Hire: The hire charge is £15 per hour 

with a minimum hire charge of £45 for a Friday pm, Saturday or Sunday

Bar facilities are available at extra charge of £25 per hour.

REGULAR HIRE OF THE HALL: This is ideal for clubs, keep fit, dance classes, etc.

Duration of hire:  Between 9am and 10pm in hourly slots – start finish times to be agreed with hirer.

Available space: This includes the main hall and kitchen only.

Cost of hire: The hire charge is £10 per hour based on a minimum hire of six sessions.

OCCASIONAL LOUNGE HIRE: Ideal for small meetings, conferences etc.

Duration of hire:  Between 9am and 10pm in hourly slots – start and finish times to be agreed.

Available space: Hire is for lounge only. Adjacent kitchen and equipment is available at extra charge of £1 per hour when hired in conjunction with period of lounge hire.

Bar facilities can be made available if required at extra charge of £25 per hour.

Cost of hire:  Occasional users, charged at £10 per hour (additional £2 for kitchen usage). Regular users, £9 per hour (additional £1 for kitchen usage) based on minimum hire of 6 sessions. 

REGULAR LOUNGE HIRE: Ideal for small meetings, conferences etc.

Duration of hire
:  Between 9am and 10pm in hourly slots – start and finish times to be agreed.

Available space: Hire is for lounge only. Adjacent kitchen and equipment is available at extra charge of £1 per hour when hired in conjunction with period of lounge hire. 

Bar facilities can be made available if required at extra charge of £25 per hour.

Cost of hire:  £9 per hour (additional £1 for kitchen usage) based on minimum hire of 6 sessions.

CHANGING ROOMS

The hall also boasts changing facilities, toilets and showers for outdoor activities such as football which can be played on the adjacent field.

Cost of hire:  Negotiable subject to availability.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:  All hire arrangements are subject to our detailed conditions of hire contained in the hire agreement supplied at the time of booking. Conditions can be viewed in advance on our website.
